Beautiful hiking trails around Gieten
At our campsite Gieten you can not only enjoy the peace and quiet of the campsite itself, but also the beautiful nature in the surrounding area. There are several hiking trails you can follow, varying in length and difficulty. Whether you are an experienced hiker or just want to get a breath of fresh air, there is something for everyone. One of the highlights is the Drouwenerzand nature reserve, which borders our family campsite in Drenthe. This area is known for its vast heaths and sand drifts. It is a unique piece of nature where you can completely unwind. The peace and quiet in this area are unprecedented and make it an ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. From the campsite you can walk straight into the nature reserve.
If you are looking for something more challenging, you can also opt for a walk in National Park the Drentsche Aa. This park is known for its varied landscape and beautiful nature. Here you can wander endlessly through forests, along streams and through meadows. There are several routes that take you along the most beautiful spots of the park. It offers the opportunity to completely unwind and enjoy all the beauty that nature has to offer. At Camping de Berken near Gieten you have the perfect base to explore these beautiful surroundings.
Highly recommended with kids! What a nice campsite for families with children. Very friendly staff, good and clean sanitary facilities. Spacious places, fields with a playground. Highly recommended! The indoor playground is also great with cold and bad weather. Nice surroundings and possibilities for day trips.

'Back to basics' with an inflatable tent and with a touch of luxury and private sanitary facilities. For families with small children and for older people. Wonderfully large pitches. The car can be parked next to the tent.

Camping de Berken is a friendly quiet campsite, suitable for older people but also for families with small children.
There is plenty to do. Places with private sanitary facilities and places with playgrounds for the little ones it is clean and a nice walking environment. Great campsite.

Gieten: the beautiful surroundings of our charming campsite
In the cozy village of Gieten there is plenty to do for young and old. The village has several stores where you can go for your daily groceries or for some great shopping. But also outside the village there is plenty to see and do. You can enjoy the beautiful nature that Gieten has to offer. From our charm campsite in Drenthe, near Gieten you can for example follow beautiful walking and cycling routes through the woods and along the heathlands. You can also visit the nearby Boomkroonpad, where you can walk high among the trees and enjoy breathtaking views. In short, in Gieten and its surroundings you will not be bored for a moment!
